Emerging venture
Aeryn Systems
by RayneOps
Autonomous aerial engineering, built software first. Aeryn is at an early stage: we run engineering experiments and set out the longer objectives openly.
No physical prototype, flight test, or aerial vehicle is offered or claimed.
Why Aeryn
Make the engineering verifiable before the aircraft
Autonomous aerial systems fail in the details: control loops tested only on paper, parts never checked for manufacturability, and software that cannot show how it reached a decision.
Aeryn starts by making those parts checkable. Its aim is aerial robotics research that others can review and reproduce.
Current experiments
What is happening now
Each item states its real status.
Control-system analysis
Working in ForgeMindTransfer functions, PID design, step response, Bode analysis, and stability checks, verified against reference tests.
Mechanical CAD exploration
ExperimentalParametric geometry in build123d. Basic shapes are validated; enclosure export is still being fixed.
Long-term objectives
Where the work is heading
These are objectives, not delivered capabilities.
Aerial robotics research
Civilian-only research into autonomous aerial systems, starting from the engineering rather than the airframe.
Engineering simulation
Structural and fluid analysis workflows, planned alongside the tools already in ForgeMind.
Flight-stack integration
Integration with open flight stacks such as PX4 and ArduPilot, planned and not started.
Future hardware research
Any hardware step is a long-term objective. It will follow simulation results and a safety review.
First software initiative
ForgeMind
Aeryn Systems' first software initiative: a workspace for aerial robotics engineering, simulation, experiment management, and technical analysis.
Status: Private alpha. Control analysis and firmware tools work and have reference tests. Mechanical CAD is experimental. Aerial-robotics simulation and experiment management are planned, not implemented. ForgeMind is not a general-purpose engineering assistant.
Relationship to RayneOps
Aeryn Systems — by RayneOps
Aeryn is a distinct venture created by RayneOps. It has its own engineering identity and technical narrative, and its research is published on its own terms. Its legal structure is not yet decided.
RayneOps continues to deliver AI automation and GTM services and to develop OpenOrbit. Aeryn does not change those commitments.
